All About Us

Palau has seen a few iterations of a national youth organization dedicated to promoting youth engagement and development.  We are grateful for our dedicated working group of technical advisors who guided the efforts to revive this organization; on April 10, 2024 Palau NYCC became a chartered non-profit organization.  The council members represent each of the 16 states of Palau, youth in schools and community groups, and youth with special needs and disabilities.  We pursue grant funding and currently receive funding from the Palau government. Our primary focus is to support the implementation of the Palau National Youth Policy in partnership with the Division of Youth & Career Development within the Ministry of Human Resources, Culture, Tourism and Development. 

As Palau's lead youth organization, we focus on advocacy, fiscal sponsorship, leadership development, and building integrated support networks that empower youth to thrive in their communities.  Uniquely, we also support capacity building for local cheldebechel (community groups) to develop proposals and secure funding for community projects.
